Hi Tom 934 Mhz UHF CB in Ireland wouldn't be much good to us we would need Repeaters to get any distance at all and also the PMR 446 is also UHF plus the TX ouput power is 100 m watts which is very small power so the  distance wouldn't be great I think we are better off at what we have at the moment and you can't beat the Frequency we are using at the moment for long distance QSO's 27.515 USB.

it is called pmr in ireland and is 446.0 to 446.1 uhf there are 8 ch most users are on handheld sets short range

Can someone tell me about UHF CB in Ireland?

Are there separate CB frequencies between the North and South?

 

Do you have 934 or other frequencies?
